Super Audio CD/CD Player

ESOTERIC K-05XD

The ESOTERIC K-05XD combines advanced flagship technologies with refined engineering to deliver high-resolution, natural, and detailed music reproduction. Featuring the VRDS-ATLAS ATLAS 05 transport mechanism, the proprietary Master Sound Discrete DAC, and a dedicated Master Sound Discrete Clock, the K-05XD represents a new generation of high-end SACD/CD players.

VRDS-ATLAS ATLAS 05 Transport Mechanism

Developed exclusively for the K-05XD, the VRDS-ATLAS ATLAS 05 mechanism is engineered for precise disc reading and effective vibration control.

Master Sound Discrete DAC

ESOTERIC’s proprietary discrete DAC incorporates an in-house-developed 64-bit/512Fs Delta-Sigma modulator, designed to reproduce musical detail, dynamics, and tonal richness with precision.

Master Sound Discrete Clock

The dedicated clock circuit draws on development expertise from the Grandioso G1X master clock, supporting precise digital signal timing and synchronization with an external 10 MHz master clock.

Three-Transformer Power Supply

Three dedicated transformers serve the analog, digital, and control circuits, complemented by a low-feedback discrete DC regulator for stable power delivery.

ESOTERIC-HCLD & ES-LINK Analog

The high-current output buffer features a 2,000 V/µs slew rate. ES-LINK Analog provides ESOTERIC’s proprietary current-transmission connection for compatible audio components.

High-Resolution USB DAC & MQA

The K-05XD supports USB DAC playback with DSD up to 22.5 MHz, asynchronous transmission, MQA decoding, and a range of digital input and output options.
