The Canton Reference GS Edition represents an ambitious achievement in high-end loudspeaker engineering. Inspired by the vision of Canton founder Günther Seitz, this exceptional loudspeaker was conceived to push the boundaries of the company’s Reference series, bringing together advanced acoustic technology, carefully selected materials, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Advanced Black Ceramic Tungsten Technology

At the heart of the Reference GS Edition are its Black Ceramic Tungsten (BCT) midrange and bass drivers. Engineered to provide a favourable balance of stiffness and mass, these specialised diaphragms are designed to support controlled movement and accurate musical reproduction. Combined with the speaker’s carefully developed three-way architecture, they help deliver a presentation that balances dynamic impact with fine musical detail.

DCC Diamond Tweeter for High-Frequency Precision

A 25 mm DCC (Diamond Ceramic Carbon) dome tweeter handles the high frequencies, delivering the fine detail, harmonic information, and subtle textures essential to a convincing musical presentation. Working in harmony with the BCT midrange and bass drivers, it completes a system designed to reproduce music across an exceptionally broad frequency range.

Powerful Bass with Four Dedicated Woofers

Four 219 mm BCT woofers provide the foundation for the Reference GS Edition’s low-frequency performance. Integrated into a three-way downfire bass-reflex system, they are designed to reproduce deep bass, powerful dynamics, and the full scale of demanding musical passages. With a specified frequency response of 18 Hz to 40,000 Hz, the loudspeaker is engineered to capture both the weight of low-frequency fundamentals and the detail of high-frequency information.

Precision Engineering and Refined Craftsmanship

The Reference GS Edition combines its advanced acoustic system with an imposing cabinet measuring approximately 163 cm in height. Its sculpted profile, anthracite finish, and walnut-finished side panels create a distinctive visual identity that complements its high-end performance. Flexible System Integration

High-quality WBT Nextgen terminals provide secure connections, with support for bi-wiring and bi-amping configurations. Adjustable bass, midrange, and treble levels offer additional flexibility for fine-tuning the tonal balance to suit the listening environment and the wider audio system.
